A place to buy fresh fruits and vegetables, Whitby farmer’s market runs every Wednesday from May to October at Old Fire Hall. This market is not only a place to sell vegetables and fruits but one can also sell and buy artisans so if you love art then go and grab some unique pieces for you. Freshly baked items, freshly prepared salad and juices are also available in this market. Although Whibty is a small town but it offers a lot of recreational activities to residents and visitors like sports and events which are scheduled time to time every year. Waterfront port Whitby Marina on lake Ontario has 420-slip. It also offers sailing, kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding and a relaxing club house. One can relax and picnic at the Kiwanis Heydenshore Park. Also, along with waterfront trail there are ice cream shops. Here you can also join sailing and boating classes if you are really interested to learn it.
Lynde House Museum is a historic place, one of the earliest building built in 1800s in this town. Now it is considered as museums. Special events and shows are also organized in the house.
