Oakville home prices drop 1.6 per cent to $1.55 million (July 2023)

The Toronto Regional Real Estate Board reported that in May 2023, the average cost of a home in Oakville was $1.55 million. That represents a decrease of 1.6%, or $25,851, from April 2023 but an increase of 3.9%, or $58,333, from May 2022.
At the end of May, Oakville had 478 active listings and 327 home sales, with an average of 14 days on the market. In comparison to a year ago, sales were up 26.3% while active listings were down 8.3%.
The average price of detached homes was $2.08 million, up 7.7% or $149,511 year over year and 2.7% or $55,552 month over month. 166 detached homes were sold, with an average of nine days spent on the market.
The average price of semi-detached homes was $1.28 million, up 7.3% or $87,112 a month over month but down 1.3% or $17,442 a year over year. At the conclusion of the month, there were three active listings, 12 semi-detached house transactions, and an average of seven days on the market.
The average price of attached homes was $1.26 million, down 5.2% or $69,186 from month to month but up 50.4% or $421,682 from year to year. At the conclusion of the month, there were 44 active listings and 52 attached house sales, with an average of 11 days on the market.
