Ancaster Neighborhoods & Communities within the City

Ancaster is a prosperous community located just West of Hamilton off of highway 403. This area provides exceptional housing affordability as compared to Oakville, Toronto, or Burlington and this explains well why people from these communities are moving to Ancaster. Natural geography of Ancaster is completely breathtaking. It is located on  Niagara Escarpment. It has Tiffany Falls Conservation Area along many hiking trails including Bruce Trails and the Heritage. Ancaster village is also a highly walk able area with numerous quaint shops, historic buildings and restaurants. Ancaster offers a feel of small town within an urban setting.

 

Housing

Ancaster has a large number of options for home buyers. Townhouses, condos, semis, and single family detached houses – everything buyers are looking for is here. Smaller houses are present downtown while the large ones surrounding the downtown core. People will find many older homes in the village core, but present-day growth here can be found on the East side of  highway 403 (with suburban residential projects like the Meadowlands or the commercial projects like the Power Center).

 

Lifestyle

As epicenter of cool at present, living in Ancaster is better for folks young and old. All they have to do is wander through some of the city’s pockets of cool, down on Locke Street South or on James Street South or North. Some of the best food in Ontario is at presently being served in Ancaster, Hamilton. Ancaster Heights/Mohawk Meadows/Weywood

One of the more established areas in Ancaster, typically known for its scenic views, easy walking distance to amenities, and hiking trails. People are more likely to found either large estates or historic homes in this area.

 

Maple Lane Annex

It is right at the southern tip of Ancaster and filled with loads of amenities. Most of this area is newer in construction.

 

Oakhill/Clearview/Ancaster Heights/Mohawk

The most desired area in Ancaster which is indeed a nature’s paradise with beautifully mature major lots. This is an ideal place for families.

 

Parkview Heights

Majority of homes in Parkview Heights are detached. Ancaster High School and Morgan Firestone Arena are the basic things that drive families to this area.

 

Southcote/Duff’s Corners

This area is rich of rural qualities in Ancaster. While there is a smaller pocket of new construction, this area is best for a little bit of peace of quiet and annual fall fair which makes it perfect for families.

 

Sulphur Springs

Sulphur Springs seems like rural but it feels more residential due to its proximity to many amenities. In between Ancaster and Dundas, there are many trails, scenic points and conservation land.

 

Meadowlands

Meadowlands of Ancaster is situated just off of highway 403 at the Lincoln Alexander Parkway. This is a comparatively newer neighbourhood best for buyers seeking new housing construction with a variety of building styles. Different home builders have contributed to early phases of construction in this area including Maple Crest Homes, Scarlett Homes, Landmart Homes. Recently Mattamy Homes has built many new houses for sale in Ancaster. Thus making this neighborhood a new and upcoming area.
