Kelowna
It is a city in the South of British Columbia. It is on the Eastern shore of Okanagan lake, surrounded by the mountains, parks, vineyards, pine forest, and orchards. Lakeside cultural district and waterfront City park is incorporated by the Downtown area of Kelowna. The wine tours are offered by twenty vineyards.
Downtown Kelowna
Downtown Kelowna area near to Okanagan lake. It is a desirable place for migrants. On the drive of some minutes there is Knox Mountain Park, which has amazing hiking trails. The nightlife and restaurants make it attractive for youngsters. The revitalization project converts this area into an urban village. This modern design has attracted many new residents. There are lovely heritage homes, multimillion-dollar waterfront homes, upscale condominiums, and townhomes in this area.
Lower Mission
At 6 kilometer away from Gordon Drive or Pandosy Street in the South, Lower mission is present. The established communities and mature level landscape make it a sought-after neighborhood of Kelowna. Recreation, shops, parks, beaches, and shores of Okanagan are its nearby amenities. It is a diverse community with retirement communities, condominiums, townhouses, luxury family houses, agricultural, recreational, commercial, and luxury waterfront properties. This neighborhood has the most beautiful waterfront properties of the Okanagan.
Dilworth mountain
It is the main central neighborhood in the Kelowna. Diliworth mountain is located in the north of highway 97. We can reach here from the west by summit drive, from the north by the Rifle Road, and from the South by the Dilworth Drive. It is between the orchards of Glenmore Valley highlands and Downtown Kelowna. The lake views and the city views can be seen by both sides of the mountain. Downtown Kelowna is on the drive of just ten minutes from here. Flower market, RV park, recreational, orchards, farms, and sports fields are in its nearby amenities.
North Glenmore Valley
It is a family-oriented neighborhood. North Glenmore Valley has excellent schools i.e. North Glenmore Elementary, Dr. Knox Middle School, Watson Road Elementary in its amenities. On Yates road and Kates road, the main shopping area is present where you can find shops, gas, restaurants, groceries, and dentists. Subway, Tim Hortans, McDonalds’s, TD Bank, Petro Canada, and Shoppers Drug Mart are some other in its proximity. The residents can have access to Downtown Kelowna, Airport, and Central Shopping District through the bus routes in the Glenmore Valley and Glenmore North.
Facts
The first residents of Okanagan valley were Sylix, that believed to came from North. It has the most comprehensive and the largest hospital of the Southern interior of British Columbia that is Kelowna General Hospital. It also has a full treatment cancer clinic. The first bridge on the Okanagan lake that linked Westbank from the West; Summerland and the peach land from the South to the Kelowna, was constructed in 1958. In 1905 it was incorporated as the city with a population of 600 individuals.
