White Rock
It is a member of Metro Vancouver municipality. White Rock is the city of British Columbia. On its three sides, it is surrounded by South Surrey and Semiahmoo Bay in the south. It offers amazing beach life. White Rock was also known as “town of newlyweds and nearly dead.” The beaches, beautiful coastline, pier, and an array of trendy cafes and restaurants make it a perfect place to visit in summer. It is named so because of the white rock that it has.
Semiahmoo Bay
It is located on the Pacific Ocean of North America, in the southeast of the boundary bay. Along Semiahmoo Bay, there is Semiahmoo Peninsula which was initially famous for cannery operations. But now, it is well known for Semiahmoo Resort. In its North there is Crescent Beach and Ocean park which are the neighborhoods of the Surrey city.
Surrey
Surrey is the city with most racially diverse populations. Over 40% population consists of those migrants whose first language is not English. It has a large proportion of East Indians. This is the reason of many Indian restaurants are present in this area. Although it is not a tourist destination but indeed a fast-growing place with an increasingly dynamic place to do business. There are many shopping malls here. Central City and Guildford Town Centre are the two big shopping malls of Surrey. A great number of events and festivals happen every year here. Easter, Halloween, and Christmas Trains are seasonal events. Party for the Planet is a yearly festival that happens in April. Surrey Vaisakhi Parade, Surrey International Children’s Festival, Surrey Fest Downtown, Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair, Sounds of Summer Music Series, Remembrance Day, and Rondriso Farms are some other festivals of Surrey.
South Surrey
South Surrey is on the Southern side of surrey city. It shares its border with the white rock. Its neighborhoods include Elgin, Grandview Heights, Chantrell Creek, Sunnyside, and Hazelmere. Most of the population have age more than sixty. Semiahmoo Secondary School, Earl Marriott Secondary School , and Elgin Park Secondary School are the three secondary schools of the town. There are also two private schools that are White Rock Christian Academy and Southridge School. Highway 99, Highway 15, Route 10, King George Boulevard are the highways of the South Surrey. South Surrey Park and Ride and White Rock Centre are the two public transit that serves the area.
Facts
It is famous for its pier and the large, white boulder. It is 48 kilometers away from Vancouver. To preserve and promote the culture along with local history there is a small museum in the White Rock. It is on the beach in the historic White Rock Train Station building and is named as White Rock Museum and Archives. Moby Dick is the most famous restaurant of White Rock. It is mainly known for its fish and chips.
