Black Gold School Division No. 18 manages the public school in the city. There are thirty schools that are operating under it. Out of these one is a home-based school and two are on outreach locations. The students here come from Leduc County, New Sarepta, Thorsby, Warburg, Beaumont, Calmar, Devon, and City of Leduc. The total number of students is almost 10,500. St. Thomas Aquinas Roman (STAR) Catholic Schools are managed by the Catholic School Board. The ten schools are operating under it. It is a medium-sized school division. The total number of students here is almost 3700.
Hospitals
The hospitals and public health centers that are working in the Leduc city are Leduc Community Hospital, Aceso Medical Walk-In Clinic, Leduc Public Health Centre, and Insight Leduc.
The Leduc Community Hospital provides a wide range of services. The services it provides include Anesthesiology, Breath Easy Program – Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Cardiac Monitoring Services, Colonoscopy, Community Audiology Services, Computed Tomography, Echocardiography, Emergency Services, Endoscopy Clinic, Fluoroscopy, Gastroscopy, General Internal Medicine Clinic, General Radiography (X-Ray), Health Information – Access and Disclosure, Health Information / Records Management, Infectious Disease Clinic, Inpatient Services (Medicine / Surgery / Special Care Unit). Leduc Community Hospital Foundation helps to enhance health care at its facilities.
There is also an animal hospital named as Southfork Animal Hospital. Its mission is to provide outstanding customer services and exceptional pet care.
Public Parks & Community Centres
The park and other natural attractions of the Leduc city are Leduc Skateboard Park, Telford Lake, William F. Lede Park, Alexandra Park, Off-leash Dog Parks, John Bole Athletic Park, Cross-country ski trails, and Outdoor Ice Surfaces. Leduc Skateboard Park has two sections. One is the bowl section with an area of 8,438.91 sq. ft and has a Spine and Clamshell. The other is the street section with an area of 14,951.10 sq. ft and has five sets with a rail, one San Francisco ledge, a seven set with rail, and one fire hydrant. The park has a total area of 23,389.98 sq. ft.
The community centers of the city include Kinsmen Community Center, Leduc Civic Centre, Leduc Recreation Centre, Leduc Stone Barn Garden Society, Kinsmen club of Leduc, and Looma Community Hall.
Leduc Recreation Center is on the area of 309,000 square feet. It is home to many retail partners that offer massage therapy, self-directed learning programs, physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation, and education. They are also providing children and youth with social and recreation support. In their other services, food and beverage services are also included. Some retail partners of them are Moo’s Grill and Greens, Lifemark Physiotherapy Black Gold Drive, and Black Gold Outreach School.
Kinsmen Club of Leduc is a community-based organization. It focuses to make the surrounding a peaceful place and better living. It has been started in the city since 1959. They promote family values, national pride, fellowship, and services to serve the greatest needs of the community.
