West Vancouver
West Vancouver also is known as “West Van”. It is a district in British Columbia, Canada, and a member of Metro Vancouver Municipality. West Vancouver is also considered as the home of Park Royal Shopping center, the first shopping mall in Canada. It is also the home of Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal, the main connecting point of Vancouver Island and British Columbia mainland. It is basically a residential area and the inhabitants of west Vancouver are mainly retired or work from home. A commercial district known as Ambleside consists of shops, garages, gas stations, offices, and other amenities required by the residents is also present here.

West Vancouver serves its residents with 17 public schools and 4 private schools. And 6 among these schools are high schools that offer schooling up to grade 10 or 12. Different Schools working here that are the top priority of the local residents are West Vancouver Secondary School, Sentinel Secondary School, Rock ridge School. An institution that is focused on personalized learning is Mulgrave School that provides initial schooling for Kindergarten and then up to grade 12. It is a type of World Continuum School. Collingwood School also offers programs from KG to grade 12 and it has two campuses with in the city premises.

West Vancouver is home to many hospitals featured with extra-ordinary facilities, medical equipment, and para-medical staff. The famous Hospitals include Homecare West, Lions gate hospital, UBC Hospital, etc. Homecare hospital was established in 2004 that offers profound health care programs and medical services. Similarly, Beacon Hill Lodge is another hospital in West Vancouver that is an extremely well administrated medical center that is the prime choice of the inhabitants of West Vancouver due to its helpful, compassionate, and caring staff. Lions gate hospital also receives good remarks from its visitors due to the high tech amenities and care provided here. In short, West Vancouver offers in time diagnosis of diseases and medical care and there is no need to rush to other cities for medical aid or treatment.
Community Centers and Parks
West Vancouver offers several recreation facilities to its residents such as an ice rink, pools, golf course, skate parks, and basketballs and tennis courts, etc. An example of such a multi-purpose public place in West Vancouver Community Center. It also owns a place that is famous for mountain biking trails and also contains snowboard and ski resorts, named Cypress Provincial Park that was a venue for the winter Olympics of 2010. A library, West Vancouver Memorial Library, is also located in Ambleside with highest circulation rate in Canada
The famous spots for enthusiasts and families for outdoor recreation are Ambleside Park and West Vancouver Seawall. Whyte cliff is considered as the best scuba diving park in Western Canada. John Lawson park featuring playground, grass fields, Downtown Skyline, and a few Lions Gate bridge that are across the water.
