Ajax is a center of many different attractions that attract residents and visitors equally to this city. From sports to parks to shopping, everyone can find something of his interest in Ajax. There are 74 kilometers of trails and 600 hectares of parkland in this city. Rotary Park has some of the largest trees in city. It also has a playground, beach and a splash pad. Paradise Park really lives up to its name. It offers sports fields, playgrounds and much more for visitors. There are always events and festivals running in Ajax to spend some quality time and enjoy with family or friends. Some festivals are Pumpkin Ville, Doors Open Ajax, and Celebrate Ajax by the Lake. Doors Open Ajax is based on historical background to learn more about the heritage within the city. Pumpkin Ville is a fall event that has a pumpkin carving contest, a haunted house, and much more. Celebrate Ajax by the Lake is an event full of enjoyment for everyone to celebrate the lake.
Shopping
Ajax is home to shopping and other entertainment. The Durham Centre covers over one million square feet of space to shop. There are also many large stores here like Chapters and Canadian Tire. As for entertainment, there are numerous options. There is Yuk Yuk’s Comedy Club for those who love to laugh and catch a good show or OLG Slots at Ajax Downs for those who like a night out at the casino.

A freshly prepared breakfast is served daily in Great North American Grill restaurant, and, lunch and dinner are also available in most locations.
Beverages are offered in the cozy Pavilion Lounge and select properties also offer a full bar.
Real estate market
Meadow Ridge has single-family and detached houses. Almost all properties in this area are owned, and a very small percentage is rented. The houses here are mostly newly built. But properties are very expensive. Apple croft has single-family and detached houses as well as condominiums. Majority of the properties are owned and fewer tend to be rented. The properties are a blend of newer and older homes. The houses in Riverside are detached and single-family houses. All except a few houses are owned, while rest being rented. Here houses are a mix of newer and older homes. Properties are more on the expensive side in this neighborhood. Salem Heights has detached and single-family homes. There are barely any properties that are rented in this area. The housing here is newer and some properties are expensive. Audley North and South are very much the same as Salem Heights in regards to the types of homes here and the fact that more properties are owned rather than rented. There are a mix of affordable properties and more expensive properties here. Downtown community has a large number of condos for sale Ajax. More properties are rented here but there are still good amounts of properties that are owned.
Discovery Bay has detached and single-family homes. Most properties are owned, while fewer are rented. There are single-family houses in Lakeside. Being an upper-middle class community, the housing in this area is generally more expensive than in others.
